To address common challenges in the manufacturing of high-end polymer materials—such as significant product quality fluctuations and long R&D cycles—we have established multi-scale modeling technologies and developed real-time control methods driven by both data and mechanisms. This has resulted in a closed-loop optimization system connecting Process, Structure, and Performance.

These achievements have been implemented by leading enterprises such as SINOPEC Shanghai Petrochemical and Zhenhai Refining & Chemical. The results include a reduction in the molecular weight distribution fluctuation of polyolefin products by over 50%, and the successful one-time development of the MT series of high-transparency polyolefin products. Appraised by the Chinese Association of Automation, this technology is the first of its kind in China and has reached an internationally leading level, marking a significant breakthrough for China in the field of precision manufacturing for high-end polymers.
